In the solemn atmosphere at the Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, the teachers offered incense and flowers to express their gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh.

At the Presidential Palace relic, which preserves artifacts and documents on the process of work and life of President Ho Chi Minh, 81 teachers were introduced to the relic and historical stories about Uncle Ho.

"Nakhon Phanom province also has Uncle Ho's memorial site in Thailand. We, in general, and younger generations in particular, come to the memorial site not only to visit but also to follow his thought," said Ms. Tran Thi Thao, a former teacher from Nakhon Phanom province.

Mr. Nguyen Van An, Deputy Head of the Thai-Vietnamese Association of Nakhon Phanom province, said that he was very moved when listening to stories about Uncle Ho. For Vietnamese people in Thailand, Uncle Ho is very close because he had done revolutionary activities in Thailand. In spite of old ages, they always look toward the homeland and will continue to carry out his teachings well to build the homeland to develop and preserve the cultural identity for future generations.

The overseas Vietnamese community in Thailand has a large number of people and has made efforts to teach mother tounge to Vietnamese children in the country.

To honour and encourage their effort, since 2016, the State Commission for Overseas Vietnamese has organized for former Vietnamese teachers in Thailand teaching Vietnamese language for many years to visit the homeland./.
