Speaking at the forum, Vietnamese Ambassador to Romania Tran Thanh Cong introduced the main features about the country, culture and people, sustainable political - security environment and overall economic situation of Vietnam.

He emphasized that Vietnam has a dynamic economy and highlighted macro economic achievements over the past years, as well as attractive destinations for foreign investors; situation and cooperation prospects in fields of trade, investment, tourism and labor in the coming time.

Besides the Ambassador had an exchange with Governor of Prahova province Ioana Madalina Lupea to specify measures to promote the relations between the two countries, as well as between Prahova province and Vietnam’s localities.

The Governor briefly introduced the diplomatic relation, economic situation, potentials, strengths, fields calling on investment and preferential policies for foreign investors.

In addition, businesses in Prahova want the Vietnamese Embassy to introduce more about Vietnam’s potential partners in order to strengthen trade revenue between the two sides and cooperation and investment opportunities.

Mr. Tran Thanh Cong emphasized that the Vietnamese Embassy in Romania will be a bridge and make utmost efforts to create the most favourable conditions to provide information, introduce and support to set up partner relations among businesses of the two countries.

They agreed to collaborate to organize activities such as forums, seminars and conferences to promote investment, trade and tourism.

On this occasion, the Vietnamese diplomat also met Prof. Dr. Pascu Mihao Coloja, Rector of Petroleum & Gas University of Ploiesti. The rector said he was honored to contribute to training nearly 300 excellent Vietnamese students, many of whom hold important positions in Vietnam’s oil and gas sector.

The Ambassador appreciated the support of the university for Vietnamese students over the past time and desired that in the coming time more and more Vietnamese students will study there./.
