The anniversary was only attended by the Executive Committee of the Overseas Vietnamese Association in Udon Thani province, because the Thai government ban on gatherings to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

On behalf of the Executive Committee and the Vietnamese community in Udon Thani province, Mr. Luong Xuan Hoa, President of the Overseas Vietnamese Association in the province, offered incense to the Hung Kings’ alter at Khanh An Pagoda, while highlighting the meaning of Hung Kings’ Death Anniversary.

He affirmed that every year, the Overseas Vietnamese Association in Udon Thani province organizes the Hung Kings’ Death Anniversary to commemorate the Hung Kings. That is the most practical lesson of patriotism, toward the roots of the Vietnamese community in Udon Thani province.

On this occasion, Mr. Hoa also expected Vietnamese people to strictly abide by measures to prevent COVID-19 of the Thai Government.

Udon Thani is home to the largest Thai-Vietnamese community in Thailand. It is estimated that there are about 60,000 Vietnamese people living and working in this province./.
