ICFood Cup of Vietnamese students in RoK

The Vietnamese Student Branch at Chungnam University and the ICFood Company of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on July 2nd organized a football tournament for Vietnamese students to compete for the 9th annual ICFood Cup at Chungnam University Stadium, Daejeon city, about 170 km south of Seoul.

There are eight male and eight female teams competing in this year's tournament from many universities across RoK, and about 700 fans.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, President of ICFood Company Park Kyun-ik expressed his hope that Vietnam-RoK relations would develop better, emphasizing that Vietnamese students studying and researching in RoK are a key factor in the development of relations.
He also announced that the 10th ICFood Cup will be held in both Vietnam and RoK next year, and pledged that within five years, ICFood Company would set up a separate fund to continue supporting activities for Vietnamese students during their study in RoK.
On behalf of the Vietnamese Embassy in RoK, Deputy Vietnamese Ambassador to RoK Tran Anh Vu sincerely thanked Mr. Park Kyun-ik and ICFood Company for their support to the Vietnamese community in RoK.
He wished the company continued success and looked forward to its practical contributions to promoting the exchange of Vietnamese-Korean people in the future.
Ending the tournament, the two winning teams are the Chungnam University alumni men's team and the Busan-Inje women's team.
Previously, the organizing board held an art program and camp-fire for the students./.
