Impressive Vietnam Cultural Festival in Lyon city

At the event, held by the Asia New Generation Vietnam, French and international friends discovered Vietnamese culture through performances of traditional dances, singing and musical instruments by Tieng To Dong group; shows of Ao dai, performances of lion dance and martial arts, film screenings and a book exhibition.

Visitors also enjoyed traditional foods by French and French-Vietnamese origin chefs.

Chairman of Asia New Generation Vietnam Roland Beaumon, whose mother is Vietnamese and who was born in Ho Chi Minh city and moved to France in the 1960s, said, “To organize the festival, we had to prepare a year in advance. I would like to introduce the traditional culture and cuisine of Vietnam to French friends, especially to inspire young generations like their children and grandchildren remember their source and return to visit Vietnam."

Vietnamese-French film actor Jean-Claude Tran said that he was proud of being invited to the festival. He thought it was a great initiative, reminding people of their homeland and introducing to international friends the culture of Vietnam./.
