Kansai-Vietnam Days 2018 held in Japan

Kansai - Vietnam Days 2018 was recently organized in Osaka and Sakai cities to welcome the 45th anniversary of Vietnam - Japan diplomatic relations.

During the event, various activities were organized such as exhibitions on economy and trade; cuisine, tourism, cultural promotion of Vietnam and Vietnam - Japan relation promotion in a square in Sakai city; organizing meetings with leaders of economic organizations in Kansai and Vietnam -Kansai investment promotion conferences in Osaka city; Vietnam - Japan art, cultural performance programs; Vietnam - Japan painting exchange and Vietnam - Japan painting exhibition at the headquarters of Vietnam’s General Consulate in Osaka.

On this occasion, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung paid courtesy visits to Mr. Arai Jun, Deputy Governor of Osaka prefecture, and Mr. Takeyama Osami, Mayor of Sakai city. At the meetings, Mr. Trung highly appreciated the active participation of administrations at all levels, friendship and economic organizations and businesses of Osaka prefecture and Kansai region in fostering relations with Vietnam.

He emphasized that the two sides still have great cooperation potential and suggested Kansai region should further boost investment and cooperation with Vietnam’s localities, and the Japanese side expressed its active response.

About 40 kiosks of economic organizations, medium- and small-sized enterprises of both Vietnam and Japan participated in displaying their products during the event.

The event attracted thousands of visitors and overseas Vietnamese people and students in the region./.
