In the context of the administration of New South Wales, where Vietnam’s plane will take off, forbidding entry of people from Victoria state of the nation, therefore, Vietnamese representative agencies in Australia have worked with local authorities and recommended Vietnamese citizens to note some issues while they move to Sydney Airport in the state of New South Wales.

The passenger list for the flight will prioritize children, the elderly and sick people.

Flight VN 786 will take off from Sydney at 14h00 (local time) on July 13th. Due to new developments of the pandemic in the states of Victoria and New South Wales, it is recommended that Vietnamese citizens traveling on this flight urgently deploy the following procedures:

- Apply for New South Wales border entry permit;

- Making appropriate transport plans to be at the airport four hours before departure time. The police of New South Wale state recommend that they should transport by plane instead of road, only transiting at the airport, but should not come from the previous day because they can be isolated for 14 days;

- Preparing passport, air ticket, diplomatic note of the embassy to present during their travel. Due to the current complicated pandemic situation, the policies of each state can change very quickly, the Vietnamese Embassy in Australia and the Consulate General in Sydney are continuing to work closely with the authorities to support citizens to travel and will update information on the embassy's website.
