The festival took place in a warm atmosphere and everyone fondly remembered Mid-Autumn Festivals they welcomed in the homeland. The children eagerly participated in many games, especially folk games such as lion dance, five-pointed star shaped lantern procession and enjoyed Mid-Autumn Festival party. Through these activities, the children would understand more about the traditions of Vietnam’s Mid-Autumn Festival.

This is also an opportunity for overseas Vietnamese people to meet, exchange and together enjoy traditional dishes imbued with national identity such as steamed rolled rice pancake, cake made of glutious rice mixed with gnaphalium everlasting leaves, pies and sticky rice cake made by overseas Vietnamese people.

This event is one of the meaningful opportunities of the overseas Vietnamese in Shanghai to express their emotion to younger generations living abroad and help them to always remember their roots, understanding and preserving the unique cultural features of the nation of Vietnam./.
