More gifts presented to Vietnamese-Cambodian families

The Khmer - Vietnam Association (KVA) in Cambodia on April 16th handed over 100 gifts, including rice, face masks and cash to Vietnamese-Cambodian families affected by COVID-19 in Kadal province.

This is part of an ongoing support program launched by the KVA, the Vietnam Business Club in Cambodia, the Vietnamese Embassy, and philanthropic individuals and organisations in Vietnam.

Speaking at the handover ceremony held in Sa Ang district, Chairman of KVA Sim Chy reminded Vietnamese-Cambodians living in the locality to strictly follow disease prevention regulations from Cambodia’s Ministry of Health, in particular avoiding public gatherings and practicing personal hygiene measures.

Hundreds more gifts within the program will be presented to Vietnamese-Cambodian families in difficult circumstance due to the pandemic in Prey Veng, Svay Rieng, and Takeo on April 17th and 18th.

The program will donate a total of over 23 tonnes of rice, 23,000 cloth face masks, and over 19,000 USD to some 1,930 Vietnamese-Cambodian households in 25 cities and provinces of Cambodia as well as present medical supplies to Cambodian localities./.
