Nguyen Du bilingual school in Vientiane launches new school year

Speaking at the ceremony, Rector of the school Pham Xuan Phan said that in the 2017-2018 school year, the school had 1,530 students at all levels, 60% of them are Lao students and the remaining are Vietnamese students, and 74 teachers;100% students at primary and secondary levels of the school graduated.

At the ceremony, Minister-Counselor of the Vietnamese Embassy in Lao Nguyen Thanh Tung congratulated the teachers and students on the occasion of the new school year. He said that, four years after the Lao Ministry of Education and Sports issued a decision on establishment of the high-quality Nguyen Du Lao-Vietnamese bilingual school and with the attention of agencies and departments of the two countries, the school has gradually completed its staff, teachers and infrastructure to meet requirements and tasks set by the ministry.

He also asked the relevant agencies and departments to continue their support so that the school operates more effectively./.
