It drew the participation of 23 candidates, of whom eight candidates are from Poland, seven from Germany, two from Hungary and one each from Russia, UK, the Czech Republic, France, Holland and Thailand.

The final round included folk-song singing and optional songs.

The head of the organizing board of the festival is Thanh Hoa, a People’s Artist.

Most candidates were born and raised in Vietnam and then went abroad to work and live. They are different ages, but share a common joy of gathering to sing in their mother tongue, beloved Vietnamese language.

The festival is a singing competition organized by the Vietnam Association for Rights Protection of Music Performing Artists (APPA), initiated by Chairwoman of the association, People's Artist Thanh Hoa, in collaboration with overseas Vietnamese associations in countries and some other organizations.

The first festival was organized in 2018 in Prague, the Czech Republic./.
