Overseas Vietnamese businessman in UK presents aid to prevent COVID-19

Mr. Pham Minh Nam, an overseas Vietnamese businessman in the UK, presented VND1 billion (over USD43,000) to support Vietnam to fight against the acute respiratory disease caused by SARS-CoV-2 on March 26th.

At a ceremony to present the relief held at the Vietnamese Embassy in the UK, Mr. Nam, President of the New World Fashion Group in London and President of the Vietnamese Business Association in the UK, said that the donation showed his responsibility for his home country at this time of hardship.

Vietnamese Ambassador to the UK Tran Ngoc An briefed participants on Vietnam’s efforts in COVID-19 prevention that call for synchronous efforts of people from all walks of life.

The ambassador thanked Mr. Nam for his contribution and emphasized that such support is significant to help Vietnam contain the spread of the virus./.
