Overseas Vietnamese in Angola meet for New Year 2018

At the meeting, Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Manh Cuong sent best wishes to the overseas Vietnamese community in Angola on the occasion of the new year, reported outstanding achievements of socio-economic development, diplomacy and international integration of Vietnam in 2017, and efforts Vietnam and Angola are carrying out to boost and expand the cooperation relations between the two countries.

He also shared with overseas Vietnamese experts and people about difficulties caused by the effects of the socio-economic crisis in Angola, appreciated their activities toward the homeland, and called on the experts, businesses and community to uphold solidarity and cooperation to help each other to overcome difficulties, share experiences as well as intensify the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Angola.

Ms. Dao Lan Huong, Standing Deputy Head of the Overseas Vietnamese Association in Angola, reviewed the activities of the association in 2017 and reported its plans for 2018.    

The meeting was an opportunity for overseas Vietnamese to meet and share plans, enjoy traditional dishes and participate in an art program to welcome New Year 2018./.
