Overseas Vietnamese in Czech Republic communicate and instruct Covid-19 prevention

The Overseas Vietnamese Association in the Czech Republic on March 2nd organized a meeting to instruct the Vietnamese community living and working in the Czech Republic on preventing the outbreak of Covid-19.

Mr. Nguyen Duy Nhien, Chairman of the Overseas Vietnamese Association in the Czech Republic, said that after the information on SARS-CoV-2 virus infected cases appear in the Czech Republic, the Overseas Vietnamese Association has held a meeting with leaders of branches in the Czech Republic to find suitable solutions to support overseas Vietnamese in the country.

He urged the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic to calm down, monitor information and act in accordance with the recommendations and requests of the authorities of the host country, avoid the bewildered psychology and untrue information, creating bad influence on the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic.

Mr. Nhien asked the leader of Sapa Trade Centre and production and business facilities of Vietnamese people in the Czech Republic to take initiative in cleaning, disinfecting and sterilizing to ensure medical issues, environment and health for the Vietnamese community.

The Overseas Vietnamese Association in the Czech Republic also suggested that those who have gone through epidemic-hit areas should undertake self-monitoring and isolation measures to protect the health of themselves, their families and the community.

Besides, the chairman also suggested that production and business facilities should prepare medical equipment such as hand washing for people, not raising prices to get profit during this time to together overcome difficult times and prevent disease.

The association also recommends that Vietnamese people and associations should avoid crowded places and minimize the organization of programs in the coming time./.
