Overseas Vietnamese in Indonesia welcome Lunar New Year of Dog

Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Indonesia Hoang Anh Tuan reviewed the socio-economic achievements of the nation over the past year and progress in the Vietnam - Indonesia strategic partnership, including strengthening the exchange of delegations at all levels, active participation and cooperation at multilateral and bilateral forums, and promotion of the bilateral relationship in the fields of trade, investment and culture.

He emphasized that the overseas Vietnamese community in Indonesia always supports each other in life and looks toward the homeland.

The ambassador desired that the community, including Vietnamese representative agencies, continue to make active and important contributions to the development of the country.

On the occasion of the New Year, Mr. Anh Tuan thanked the overseas Vietnamese community in Indonesia for their sentiments and cooperation, and wished them to continue to be unified, support each other, preserve national culture, join hands to build the strong and healthy nation, and strengthen the Vietnam-Indonesia relationship.

At the event, the participants clinked glasses and enjoyed traditional dishes such as “Chung” cake, spring rolls and noodle soup (Pho)./.
