This is an annual significant belief activity for overseas Vietnamese in Laos because it is an opportunity for them to meet and exchange, as well as look toward their origins in spiritual life.

After the ceremony to pray for peace and safety of the nation and people, the participants set free animals, enjoyed vegetarian food and reviewed memories about the homeland.

Bang Long Pagoda was built in 1942 and is the largest one of the overseas Vietnamese community in Laos. It usually organizes religious activities of Vietnamese people, helping to preserve the traditional culture of the nation./.
