Overseas Vietnamese in Lithuania welcome Lunar New Year of Dog

An event was organized by the Vietnamese Embassy in Poland and Lithuania, and the Overseas Vietnamese Association in Lithuania, to welcome the Lunar New Year of the Dog in the capital Vilnius on January 20th.

At the event, Ambassador Vu Dang Dung reported the socio-economic situation and foreign affairs of the nation in 2017 and highlighted remarkable achievements and results Vietnam gained.
He highly appreciated and encouraged activities of the overseas Vietnamese community to help them to be more unified and have a sustainable life.
The ambassador affirmed that the embassy will regularly pay attention to the overseas Vietnamese community in Lithuania, especially working with the local administration to solve difficulties, creating favourable conditions for overseas Vietnamese to do their work.
On this occasion, Mr. Dung presented certificates of merit to five students who gained good results in the 2016-2017 school year. At the event, the participants enjoyed traditional dishes and an art performance./.
