Overseas Vietnamese in Russia present boats and life jackets to flood victims in Central region

The above gifts were presented to people in Canh Hoa and Phu Hoa communes (Quang Trach district), Ham Ninh commune (Quang Ninh district), Tan Hoa commune (Minh Hoa district), Duc Hoa commune (Tuyen Hoa district) of Quang Binh province and people in Son Tan commune (Huong Son district), Duc Son commune (Vu Quang district), Quang Duc commune (Duc Tho district), Huong Giang and Gia Pho communes (Huong Khe district) of Ha Tinh province. These are communes seriously damaged in the two floods. Of which, many communes have 100% of houses submerged in water and isolated.

Mr. Tran Phu Thuan, Standing Chairman of the Overseas Vietnamese Association in the Russian Federation, shared that officials and staff of the Vietnamese Embassy and the overseas Vietnamese community in the Russian Federation have actively launched a campaign to raise funds to support people in the Central region damaged by floods over the past time. He said they hoped that the gifts would help the people better cope with in rescue and salvage work to significantly reduce risks in the rainy and flood season and can be useful in agricultural production.

Previously, the officials and staff of the Vietnamese Embassy and the overseas Vietnamese community in the Russian Federation conducted three relief efforts for people in Quang Binh and Ha Tinh provinces with thousands of gifts with a total value of over VND1 billion./.
