During the visit, the overseas Vietnamese people in the Czech Republic spent a lot of time getting regular updates and information about the visit.

Social websites which usually only publish personal images and statuses also solemnly published the Joint Declaration between the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Czech Republic, with the following contents: State President Tran Dai Quang affirmed that Vietnam attaches great importance to the development of friendly relations and multi-faceted cooperation with the Czech Republic; thanked the Czech Republic for creating favourable conditions for the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic.

President Milos Zeman reaffirmed the strong interest of the Czech Republic in promoting friendly and mutually beneficial relations with Vietnam; and appreciated the contributions of the overseas Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic in promoting the friendship between the two countries.

Mr. Nhien shared that he and the overseas Vietnamese in the Czech Republic are very pleased with the results achieved during President Zeman's visit to Vietnam.

Notably, the two sides formally signed the Agreement on Transfer of Persons Sentenced to Imprisonment and the Crime Prevention Cooperation Agreement, in order to strengthen and perfect the legal basis for bilateral cooperation between the legal protection agencies of the two countries.

The agreement has created a legal corridor to remove a small number of law offenders that worsen the common image of the Vietnamese community in the local country./.
