Overseas Vietnamese present gifts to the unfortunate on Christmas in Czech Republic

On the occasion of Christmas and New Year 2020, overseas Vietnamese associations in localities of the Czech Republic visited and presented gifts to unfortunate people.

The Overseas Vietnamese Association in Brno city visited and presented gifts at an orphanage. According to Truong Cong Su, Chairman of the association, the activity shows the traditional compassion of Vietnamese people and it is also a grateful action for Brno, where a large number of Vietnamese people have been living and working for decades. 

Mr. Danie Kusý, Head of the Orphanage in Brno, expressed his pleasure and thanked the Vietnamese delegation for visiting and presenting gifts on Christmas Eve and food for children.

Meanwhile, the Overseas Vietnamese Association in Ústí nad Labem province visited and presented gifts, including chocolate and necessities, worth nearly 12,000CZK, to people with disabilities on the occasion of Christmas and New Year 2020.

According to Do Thanh Son, Chairman of the association, this is an annual activity his association has carried out for orphanages, lonely elderly or people with disabilities before Christmas and New Year.

Overseas Vietnamese in Northern Morava and Ostrava province presented 20,000CZK and gifts to children with disabilities in Ostrava Jih district.

The practical and charitable activities of the overseas Vietnamese community in localities of the Czech Republic have contributed to making the image of Vietnamese people more beautiful and strengthening the cohesion and friendship of the community with the local people./.
