"Peaceful dove for Vietnam" activity has been organized by the Vietnamese Embassy in Ukraine, the Ukraine-Vietnam Friendship Association and secondary school 251 named after President Ho Chi Minh in Kiev on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day and the World Peace Day (September 21st).

At the event, nearly 800 students from the school together pasted paper doves carrying wishes for a peaceful world on a Vietnamese map with dimension of 2m x 3m. Many doves were pasted up on images of the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos, sacred territorial waters of Vietnam.

Ms. Shulga Larisa, Rector of the school, asked the Vietnamese Embassy to transfer the map to Vietnamese students.

Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Ukraine Nguyen Minh Tri expressed his gratitude and appreciated the great significance of the humane activity, an activity to connect Ukrainian children fighting for peace in Ukraine to Vietnam, as well as worldwide.

According to Mr. Nguyen Minh Tri, having experienced much suffering and loss in war, the desire for peace and prosperity of the people of Vietnam is always burning. The people of Vietnam always work closely with the people of Ukraine and the world to strive for a world without war or poverty, and build a planet of peace, stability, cooperation and prosperity.

The meaningful activity also contributes to further consolidating the traditional friendly relations between the two countries.

The activity this time was in the framework of the project "Children for peace in the world" initiated by the United Nations.

From early 2016 to the present, a number of foreign representative agencies in Ukraine have cooperated with local social organizations and businesses to organize activities of pasting peaceful doves on the map of Ukraine and some countries./.
