Requiem for martyr heroes held in Germany

A great requiem to commemorate martyrs, who sacrificed themselves on Gac Ma Island on March 14th, 1988 for independence, territorial integrity of the nation, was organized at Tu An Pagoda in Berlin, Germany, on March 18th.

At the ceremony, Venerable Thich Tu Nhon and the participants spent a minute’s silence in memory of martyrs and offered incense to commemorate and pray for the salvation of the martyrs’ souls.
According to Venerable Thich Tu Nhon, the event is organized every year to teach the young generation to remember the noble sacrifice of the martyrs.
During the event, many songs praising soldiers were performed by the participants./.
