School named after President Ho Chi Minh inaugurated in Mongolia

A ceremony has been recently organized to inaugurate a leading national experimental school No.14, named after President Ho Chi Minh, in the Mongolian capital Ulan Bator, after four years of upgrading and new construction.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to Mongolia Doan Thi Huong congratulated the teachers and students of the school on the opening of the new, spacious and modern school. The ambassador hoped that the school would make good use of the facilities and win more achievements in teaching and learning; continue to promote the tradition to become a "cradle" to train talented people for Mongolia.

She affirmed that the school being named President Ho Chi Minh and the close cooperative activities between the school and the Vietnamese Embassy in recent years is a vivid manifestation of the friendly cooperation between Vietnam and Mongolia. The Vietnamese Embassy and the school will continue to closely coordinate in introducing the life and career of President Hồ Chí Minh and Vietnamese culture to students through thể Hồ Chí Minh Cultural Centre located at the Traditional Room of the school.

On behalf of the school, Principal Vaandad Tsetsgee thanked the Vietnamese Embassy for its interest in and support for the school in terms of material and spirituality for the past years. She also said that she would continue to organize activities to contribute to the development of the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Mongolia.

The school No.14 is one of the first high schools in Ulan Bator. On the occasion of the 90th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh, on May 14th, 1980, the Central Committee of the Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party issued a decision to allow school No.14 to be named President Ho Chi Minh. Many senior Mongolian leaders have grown up in this school./.
