Apart from donation to support Truong Sa archipelago, the exchange was also an opportunity for the members to report to the overseas Vietnamese community what they have done over the past time and what they will do in the coming time. This is also a way to communicate and mobilize the overseas Vietnamese to pay attention to and look toward Truong Sa with practical activities.

Over a year of operation, the Truong Sa Club has organized two donations to support the sea and islands; support children of officials and soldiers on duty in remote islands, studying in Hanoi with accommodation in five apartments for five years free of charge; mobilize students to write letters and books to share their feelings with soldiers and encourage those who are protecting the sea and islands of the country; organize art programs and talks with second generation Vietnamese students, German and international friends about Vietnam's sovereignty over Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos.

Speaking at the exchange, Vietnamese Ambassador to Germany Doan Xuan Hung praised the positive activities of the Truong Sa Club over the past year. He believed that with such enthusiastic and efficient efforts, the club will build its influence in the overseas Vietnamese community and create charismatic activities about Truong Sa for them in the coming time.

During the exchange, the club mobilized the overseas Vietnamese to support planting trees on islands in order to restore trees destroyed by hurricanes sweeping through Truong Sa archipelago last year and the club collected EUR6,750. With the amount of the previous donation, the club has EUR10,000 to donate to Truong Sa.

In the framework of the exchange, the club also admitted five new members, who will visit Truong Sa archipelago in April. The Truong Sa Club will donate all proceeds from the two donations to those who will visit to the island to present soldiers and people on Truong Sa archipelago./.
