Two Vietnamese photographers win international prizes in Turkey

The awarding ceremony of the 13th Orhan Holding International Photography Contest was organized in Bursa city, Turkey, on December 9th.

The event was under the patronage of the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP) and the Photographic Arts Federation of Turkey, and sponsored by the Orhan Group.

It is a prestigious contest, which was first held in 1998 for domestic photographers and then expanded to include international entries in 2004 and attracted the participation of many photographers around the world.

Among more than 700 photographers from over 70 countries around the world, with nearly 6,000 photos of various categories, the organizers presented awards to 57 master of pieces. For Vietnam, Than Nguyen from Da Nang city won FIAP silver award for the colour photo category with the photo "Dependency 04" and FIAP recognition award for the black and white photo category with the photo "Hugging grandfather", while Do Thanh Nhan from Tay Ninh province won an exhibition award for the colour photo category with the photo "Sparks from steam engine". On behalf of winners, representative of the Vietnamese Embassy in Turkey received campaign medals.   

The gold award for the colour photo category was given to a Bangladeshi and the FIAP Best Award was given to an Indian. The winning photos will be exhibited at the large art exhibition centres of Bursa and Istanbul from December 18th, 2017 to March 3rd, 2018./.
