Two Vietnamese women arrested by Malaysian police for drug trafficking

Kuala Lumpur police have destroyed a drug trafficking group in the form of 3 in 1 coffee in Taman Maluri, Cheras, on March 10th.

At a press conference on March 13th, Mr. Guan Beng Kang, Head of the police agency for investment of drug-related crimes of Kuala Lumpur capital, said that initially the police arrested a 27 year-old man at 2am and then arrested four other people, including two Vietnamese people, in an apartment.

He said that after searching the first arrested person, the police seized two plastic bags believed to contain 16.48 grams of syabu.

Police also seized 1,259 grams of powdered ecstasy, 41 capsules containing ecstasy powder, 187 tablets of ecstasy, a plastic bag believed to contain syabu, a plastic bag believed to contain ketamine, five tablets of Eramine 10 and a bag containing ganja, after searching their living places, he said.

"The mode of operation of the drug traffickers was to pulverize drugs and then put into packages of 3 in 1 coffee to sell to addicts at MYR200-300 at the entertainment centres of the capital".

According to Mr. Guan, the police seized a Desert Eagle 50 AE gun, means to process drugs, and other drug-related objects worth about MYR90,000.

All these people will be detained for seven days for the investigation. The case is being investigated under Article 117 of the Penal Code and Article 39B of Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 of Malaysia./.
