Vice President meets Mongolian supporting Vietnam

During the visit to Mongolia, Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh on May 9th met the School Managing Board and typical students of High School No. 14, named after President Ho Chi Minh in Ulan Bator city, a symbol of the solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Mongolia.

The Vice President learnt about the teaching and studying of the school; appreciated the achievements and major developments of the school in recent years, as well as its positive contributions in the common work of the Mongolia-Vietnam Friendship Association.

She thanked the School Managing Board for always taking care of the statue of President Ho Chi Minh on the campus, preserving and developing the Ho Chi Minh Cultural Centre, and regularly organizing contests on learning about the biography and career of President Ho Chi Minh.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Thinh wished the School Managing Board and students would win more achievements in teaching and studying for a new school year. On the occasion, she presented a number of pieces of educational equipment to the school.

Also on the afternoon of May 9th, Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh met Mr. S. Dashtsevel, President of the Mongolia-Vietnam Friendship Association, and members of the association.

The Vice President appreciated the role and contribution of the Mongolia-Vietnam Friendship Association and President S. Dashtsevel in consolidating and strengthening the traditional friendship and cooperative relations, especially, Mr. S. Dashtsevel had devoted time and effort to translate and publish Vietnam’s famous works such as "Diary in prison," "Ho Chi Minh - life and career," and "Tale of Kieu" in Mongolia.

She suggested that the friendship association of the two countries continue to closely cooperate, strengthen cooperation, education and training activities, promoting friendly exchanges among universities and high schools of the two countries, as well as promotional activities, writing books, introducing information on each country's situation in order to increase mutual understanding between the two peoples.

The President of the Mongolia-Vietnam Friendship Association reported the activities of the association over the past time, as well as the work plan of the association in the coming time. It affirms that the association will make all efforts to practically contribute to enhancing mutual understanding between the two peoples and strengthen cooperation between the two countries.

The Vice President updated those present on Vietnam's situation and position on the East Sea issue. The President of the Mongolia-Vietnam Friendship Association supported Vietnam's viewpoint on the East Sea issue, supporting the settlement of disputes by peaceful means based on international law.

Earlier, the Vice President attended and delivered a speech at the Vietnamese-Mongolian Business Meeting, organized by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), Mongolian Employers' Federation and the Vietnamese Embassy in Mongolia.

At the meeting, she affirmed that with particular advantages such as political stability, favourable geographic location in the dynamic development region, main commodity circulation route of the world and plentiful source of labour, Vietnam has a competitive advantage to attract investors.

On this occasion, the Vice President also proposed that Mongolia should have policies to encourage Vietnamese investors to seek projects and support the implementation of projects after being granted license.

On the same day, she visited and talked with officials, staff and representatives of the Vietnamese community in Mongolia.

She appreciated and praised the efforts of the Vietnamese Embassy and community in Mongolia. Though they aren’t many, they have united successfully to fulfil the political task, significantly contributing to the development of bilateral relations, especially in trade, which is appreciated by the host country./.
