Vietnam appoints Uganda citizens as Honorary Consul

The Vietnamese Ambassador in Tanzania believes that the Honorary Consul will provide much support to Vietnamese businesses doing business in Uganda.

Vietnam’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has appointed Mr. Mulenga Augustus Ceasor, a Ugandan citizen, as Honorary Consul of Vietnam in Kampala, the capital of the Republic of Uganda.

Mr. Mulenga Augustus Ceasor was given an appointment decision by the Head of the Consular Department of Vietnam’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Vu on February 16th.

The decision was signed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Binh Minh on January 19th. Accordingly, Mr. Mulenga Augustus Ceasor is Honorary Consul of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the metropolitan area and outskirts of Kampala, the Republic of Uganda.

According to Vietnamese Ambassador to Tanzania Nguyen Kim Doanh, the Honorary Consul will assist the Vietnamese Embassy in Tanzania to promote bilateral relations, especially deepening the economic relationship between Vietnam and Uganda.

"We welcome Mr. Mulenga Augustus Ceasor to join our diplomatic staff to promote the Vietnam-Uganda relationship," said Ambassador Nguyen Kim Doanh. "I believe that with his knowledge and experience, Mr. Mulenga Augustus Ceasor will greatly support Vietnamese businesses that have been doing business in Uganda."
