The flight was arranged by Vietnamese agencies, the Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand, VietJet Air and relevant Thai authorities.

The passengers include children under age 18, elderly people, pregnant women, sick people, students without accommodation due to the closure of dormitories, workers with expired contracts, and others in especially difficult circumstances.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand sent its staff to the airport to support the citizens with necessary procedures before they boarded the plane.

Disease prevention measures were strictly carried during the flight to ensure health for citizens and prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Right after the plane landed at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi, all crew members and passengers underwent medical check-ups and were transferred to quarantine areas in line with regulations on COVID-19 prevention and control.

Under Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s directions, domestic authorities and Vietnamese representative offices abroad are making plans to bring home more Vietnamese citizens depending on the citizens’ needs and the country’s quarantine capacity./.
