At the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Germany Doan Xuan Hung highly appreciated the comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Germany during the past time. The two countries are facing new opportunities and challenges six years after establishing a "strategic partnership for the future."

However, he emphasized that the economic, investment and trade cooperation between the two countries is still modest and not suitable to its potential.

The delegates shared that "digitalisation" is the mainstream trend in the 21st century. It is a challenge but also an opportunity for economies in "Economy 4.0", also known as the "Fourth Industrial Revolution".

In particular, the digital connection could be a good solution to connect the two countries in the future, but this requires the support and contribution of the business communities, as mentioned in the report "B2B Webportal: German-Vietnamese Trade Bridge" by the Vietnam-Germany Bridge Association.

This year's Asia-Pacific Week takes place on May 15th-28th with the theme "Eurasia Dialogue in the Digital Age"./.
