A Spring Festival was organized by the Asia Pacific Women Association (APWA) and Indonesian Embassy in Belgium on May 6th.

The event was participated in by women from 17 Embassies in Brussels, including that of Vietnam.
Speaking at the ceremony, head of the Association Sandra Thamrin, spouse of the Indonesian Ambassador, said that this was an opportunity for spouses of Ambassadors from the Asia-Pacific countries to contribute to the growth of APWA.
This was also an opportunity for APWA member countries to introduce and promote their countries and people to other member countries of the association, and the Belgian people. In addition, it aimed to raise funds for charitable organizations of member countries, thus helping women and children in member countries seriously affected by natural disasters.
Vietnam offered a performance of the traditional long dress, which was a unique charm of the festival.
At the two kiosks of Vietnam, besides sophisticated handicraft products, Vietnam’s traditional dishes also attracted many diners.
Visitors also exchanged, enjoyed the traditional national music of the countries, experienced the cuisine and learned about the diverse cultures of countries in the region.
APWA was established on the initiative of spouses of Ambassadors from Asia-Pacific countries in the Kingdom of Belgium and the European Union./.
