Vietnam National Day marked in Morocco

The Vietnamese Embassy in Morocco organized the 72nd anniversary of the National Day of Vietnam in Rabat on September 12th.

Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Morocco Tran Quoc Thuy recalled the historical milestone of September 2nd, 1945, when President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence to give birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam and open a new era of the country.

He highlighted the achievements that Vietnamese people have achieved over the past 72 years, especially the international integration process.

The Ambassador also emphasized the constant development of the Vietnam - Morocco relationship, since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1961, including exchanges of high-ranking delegations and cooperation in the fields of economics - trade, investment, culture, education and training. Particularly, the visit to Morocco of Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Phung Quoc Hien created an important progress in the bilateral relations.

On this occasion, he also expressed optimism, confidence in the good future of the friendship and cooperation between the two sides./.
