The bazaar was organized on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of DSA in the Czech Republic.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Myung-Ji Suh, Spouse of Ambassador of the Republic of Korea (RoK), and Head of DSA, affirmed that the bazaar has become a prestigious event in the Czech Republic, helping to connect different cultures, promoting friendship among countries and positively contributing to local charity projects.

Over the past 20 years, DSA has mobilized more than CZK66 million for charitable projects in the Czech Republic. Spouse of Czech President Ivana Zemanova also appreciated the organization of the annual Christmas bazaar, as well as active participation of DSA members. She emphasized that this was a meaningful activity because all proceeds from the event were donated to charity organizations in the Czech Republic.

At this bazaar, Vietnam had three stalls, introducing silk, handicrafts and traditional dishes. Over the past years, the Vietnamese Embassy and Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic have actively participated in international Christmas bazaars.

In 2016, DSA granted CZK2.85 million to 34 charity organizations to help orphans and people with disabilities in the Czech Republic./.
