Vietnam’s tourism promoted in India

The "Market launching program in India" was organized by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) and the Vietnamese Embassy in India at the Royal Plaza Hotel in New Delhi, India, on December 12th.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Ngo Hoai Chung, VNAT Deputy Head, said that tourism cooperation between Vietnam and India has seen significant development in recent years, along with the development of traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership. Many bilateral and multilateral tourism cooperation and promotion activities have been effectively implemented, attracting the participation of tourism agencies, associations and tourism enterprises of the two countries.

He emphasized that during the visit to Vietnam by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in September 2016, the tourism cooperation was one of the topics discussed. He also affirmed that Vietnam’s tourism sector has identified India as a priority market, therefore many activities to exploit this market such as market research, product promotion, participation in fairs and exhibitions, organizing study tours for the press agencies and tourism businesses of the two parties and market launching programs have been held periodically.

Mr Chung also showed that VNAT has always worked closely with the two countries' Embassies and enterprises to hold cooperation conferences on tourism - aviation, tourism - cinema, to welcome film crews to Vietnam to survey and film, and to exchange delegations to study, share experience, research and build new products.

He introduced Vietnam as a peaceful and stable country with a developing economy. Vietnam is an attractive tourism destination with variety of ecosystems and beautiful sites, especially over 3,200km coastline with many beautiful beaches.

In addition, the country has a diversified culture imbued with identity and many world cultural heritages recognized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). Vietnamese people are friendly and hospitable, Vietnam’s food is rich, and the country has a well-established system of hotels, restaurants, resorts and golf courses of international standard.

He affirmed that Vietnam ensures to provide tourism services and products with the best quality to meet the needs of Indian tourists, as well as provide the best conditions for tourism businesses of the two countries to cooperate effectively.

At the event, Vietnam’s tourism business introduced their special tourism products. Previously, the tourism businesses of the two countries spent time searching, exchanging and seeking cooperation opportunities. India’s tourism businesses were very interested in Vietnam’s tourism market, as well as the untapped potential of this market.

The program will continue to be held in Mumbai, one of the most dynamic growth cities of India and one of the movie capitals in the South Asian country./.
