Vietnam warns its citizens of limiting access to Indonesia

After consecutive bombings in Surabaya city, East Java province, Indonesia, on May 13th-14th, the government of Indonesia has raised its terrorism alert to the highest level and allowed functional enforcement forces the right to open fire to ensure security.

The Consular Department under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs warned Vietnamese citizens that, if not necessary, they should avoid going to Indonesia, closely monitor relevant local information and avoid or limit activities in public places there during this time until the situation stabilizes again, to avoid risk.

According to the information from the Vietnamese Embassy in Indonesia, so far, no Vietnamese citizens have been affected in the recent bomb blasts.
