Vietnamese Ambassador presents letter of credence to Italian President

Vietnamese Ambassador to the Italian Republic Nguyen Thi Bich Hue recently presented the letter of credence from President Nguyen Phu Trong to President Sergio Mattarella at Quirinale Palace in Rome.

The ambassador transferred the invitation of Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong to President Mattarella to visit Vietnam.
President Sergio Mattarella reiterated his good impressions from his visit to Vietnam in 2015 and congratulated Vietnam on its great achievements in socio-economic development and international integration.
He affirmed that Italy attaches great importance to developing strategic partnerships with Vietnam, Italy's leading partner in ASEAN, emphasizing the significance of the third High-level Dialogue on ASEAN-Italy Economic Relations to be held in Hanoi in June. The President thanked the Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong and happily accepted the invitation to visit Vietnam./.
