Vietnamese business continues to support Lao people after dam collapse

Hoang Anh Gia Lai Group, through Hoang Anh Attapeu Agricultural Development Limited Company, recently presented LAK2 billion to the administration of Attapeu province to continue to support the local people to overcome the consequences of the Xe Pian-Xe-Namnoy hydropower dam collapse.

This amount has been transferred to the State Treasury of Attapeu province to promptly disburse to help overcome the consequences of the dam collapse disaster.

Right after the Xe-Pian Xe-Namnoy hydropower dam collapse disaster, on July 23rd, the Group provided emergency assistance to the Lao people affected by the disaster. The emergency assistance included essential goods of 50 tons of rice, 100,000 packs of instant noodles, 5 tons of dried fish, 2,000 sets of clothes, and appointed a rescue team of 15 health workers from the HAGL Medical Pharmacy University Hospital, as well as many medicines and medical equipment to help Lao people affected by the dam collapse.

The collapse disaster caused great damage to people and property. So far, the recovery work has been swiftly implemented by the Lao government to quickly stabilize the lives of the affected people./.
