Vietnamese businesses contribute to Cambodia’s development

The Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia on May 30th organized a conference to meet overseas Vietnamese businesses in 2018 to share experience and create more favourable conditions for them to invest and do business in the country.

Speaking at the conference, Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia Vu Quang Minh affirmed that Vietnam-Cambodia relations are developing well in many fields, including economics, trade and culture.

Vietnamese entrepreneurs in Cambodia are an important bridge in strengthening the traditional friendship between the two countries, greatly contributing to creating jobs and the development of the country.
In addition, Vietnamese businesses have also positively contributed to the development of the homeland and as a bridge to connect with domestic businesses.

The ambassador said that conference shows the attention of the government of Vietnam for its entrepreneurs in Cambodia. Moreover, this was also an opportunity for the entrepreneurs to contribute their ideas to help build a support policy and gather Vietnamese businesses in Cambodia to operate more effectively in the coming time.

In fact, over the past time, the cooperation between the two countries in the fields of economics and trade has gained outstanding achievements. Vietnam ranks 6th among countries investing in Cambodia, with significant presence in the fields of agriculture, service, banking, insurance and consumer goods production.

The conference also recognized advantages and disadvantages of the businesses in investment, development and desired that through the embassy, the difficulties they are facing will be soon solved by ministries and sectors of the two countries, so businesses will be confident to continue to invest in Cambodia./.
