Vietnamese community in Czech Republic towards homeland’s sea and islands

A great requiem ceremony for heroic martyrs sacrificed for the sovereignty over the sea and islands of the nation was organized in Prague on March 14th.

The was held by the War Veterans Association, the Buddhist Association, the Culture and Art Association of Vietnam in the Czech Republic, and the group "Brothers for the homeland". 

The participants of the ceremony expressed their grief and respect for the martyrs, affirmed Vietnam's sovereignty over Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos, as well as the responsibility of the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic in joining hands to protect the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the country.

At the ceremony, the organizing board announced a letter of protest sent to the Chinese Embassy in the Czech Republic, which affirms Vietnam's stance against use of force and requests an end to all acts changing the status in the East Sea, for peace and stability in the region.

At the end of the ceremony, the participants and representatives of the Vietnamese community and organizations in the Czech Republic contributed to the fund supporting the families of martyrs sacrificed to protect the sea and islands of Vietnam./.
