Vietnamese cuisine promoted in France

"Vietnam Cuisine Day in France" event was recently held in France’s Argelès-sur-Mer town by the Vietnam Foreign Ministry’s Department of Cultural Diplomacy and UNESCO, the Vietnamese Embassy in France, the Vietnamese Mission to UNESCO, the School of Tourism and Cooking of Bourquin (Perpignan, France), and the Vietnam Chef Association.

The event featured art performances and cooking featuring delicacies from Vietnam's three regions.

It included various activities such as performing and introducing the essence of Vietnamese cuisine; a symposium introducing UNESCO heritage sites in Vietnam and Vietnamese culinary arts; an exhibition of eight UNESCO heritage sites in Vietnam and some quintessential Vietnamese culinary products; and an exchange of Vietnamese - French chefs.

The event attracted a lot of participants who are local officials and entrepreneurs, who work in fields related to food and tourism, hotels, as well as French young people and members of the Vietnamese community in France and other European countries.

At the event, Antoine Parra, Head of Argelès-sur-Mer town, expressed his honor to welcome and meet Vietnamese delegation, who are talented chefs, representing a unique cuisine./.
