Vietnamese culture promoted in US through handicraft products

The Vietnamese Embassy in the US and the International Trade Centre recently organized the 6th International Winter Embassy Exhibition at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington.

It is one of the largest annual international cultural promotion events in Washington, attracting a large number of diplomatic missions, visitors and journalists.

This year's event was participated in by nearly 40 diplomatic representative agencies in Washington, nearly 5,000 visitors and many media outlets such as Washington Post and Washington Diplomat.

The Vietnamese Embassy in the US brings many handicraft products made by domestic artisans such as silk scarves, lacquer paintings, ceramic dishes and bowls, and invites visitors to enjoy Vietnam’s unique cuisine.

The materials, paintings and photos promoting culture, tourism, beautiful sites, and the sea and islands of Vietnam were warmly welcomed by visitors. On this occasion, the Embassy also exhibited paintings and photos about the Vietnam-US comprehensive partnership.

At an interview with the press at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to the US Pham Quang Vinh introduced the country, people and cultural, tourism and historical features of Vietnam, and confirmed that the exhibition was a significant cultural event, giving an opportunity for diplomatic agencies in Washington to exchange and promote their countries, as well as an opportunity to strengthen the friendship between the American people and countries around the world, including Vietnam.

At Vietnam’s booth, many visitors were very interested in products imbued with Vietnamese cultural features, and confirmed their desire to visit Vietnam in near future./.
