Vietnamese doctors bring light to poor Cambodian patients

The Military Hospital 175, Ho Chi Minh city Eye Hospital in collaboration with Preah Ket Mealea Hospital (Cambodia’s Military Hospital 179) on November 14th co-provided examination, medicines and eye surgery free of charge for poor Cambodian patients in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

This 13th program welcomed the 65th anniversary of the National Day of Cambodia (November 9th) and the success of the 6th National Assembly general election of Cambodia.

It is part of the bilateral defense cooperation protocol to strengthen the solidarity, friendship and development cooperation of the two countries.

During the program, 50 Vietnamese health workers with modern medical equipment provided medical examinations for 200 patients and provide free eye surgery for about 300 other patients.

Since 2005, it has been annually protected the health and bring light for thousands of Cambodian people.

In addition, over the past years, the Vietnamese side has supported material facility, training of health workers for Cambodia to gradually improve the quality of medical examination and treatment for local people./.
