Vietnamese Embassy in Brunei presents books to National Library of Brunei

The Vietnamese Embassy in Brunei on February 8th presented 48 kinds of books and magazines about the land and people of Vietnam to the National Library of Brunei.

These publications are about many fields, such as books about the revolutionary life of President Ho Chi Minh and General Vo Nguyen Giap, economic renewal process of Vietnam; books about the history, culture, tourism, land and people of Vietnam published by The Gioi publishing house; photobook "Vietnam - My Love" published by Vietnam’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs; pictorial magazines issued by Vietnam News Agency from 2011 to 2016; as well as maps and CDs introducing tourism produced by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism.

With the desire of broadly promoting the image of Vietnam to international friends, the Vietnamese Embassy in Brunei has actively raised its initiatives and gained agreement by the local authorities to receive these publications. In the coming time, presentation of publications to the National Library of Brunei will be a regular activity of the Vietnamese Embassy.

The deed not only enriches the ASEAN corner of the library, provides more knowledge and information to local residents, especially Bruneian young people and international friends to study at the national library to further understand the country and people of Vietnam, but it is also a practical activity to mark 25 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations (1992-2017) and 50 years since the establishment of ASEAN (1967 - 2017)./.
