During the program, the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan presented JPY600,000 from the 41st Asia Pacific Ladies Friendship Society in Tokyo on April 19th to the Japan International Friendly Association (JIFA).

The sum will be transferred to the central province of Ha Tinh by JIFA to Vuong Loc kindergarten in Can Loc district and Huong Long primary school in Huong Khe district to build safe water systems.

Speaking at the concert, Ambassador Nguyen Quoc Cuong said Vietnam-Japan relations are growing rapidly in all areas. Vietnam and Japan have a history of diplomatic relations from the 7th century. The peoples of the two countries have shared many common traditional and cultural values. It is hard work, and especially emotional, to be ready to share and help people in difficult circumstances. This is the spirit of the concert.

Ambassador Nguyen Quoc Cuong acknowledged the contributions of, and thanked ALFS, JIFA, Tokyo Women's Club, Vietnam Airlines and the artists performing in the concert.

At the program, the attendees enjoyed pieces performed by jazz musician Keiko Borjesson, a world-famous Japanese artist who was the main artist of the concert, and a traditional long dress performance with the theme of 12 flower seasons of Hanoi.

In addition, they also enjoyed Vietnam’s traditional dishes, experienced and bought traditional long dresses of Vietnam.

The program is a significant cultural event, contributing to strengthening Vietnam-Japan relations./.
