Vietnamese Football Tournament held in Japan’s Kanto region

The final round of the Vietnamese Football Tournament was recently organized in Kanto, Japan, by the Football Association of Vietnamese in Japan.

This is an annual football tournament and one of the last activities to mark the 45th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam - Japan diplomatic relations (September 21st, 1973 to September 21st, 2018).

Experiencing nearly one month of competition among 32 football teams, 16 teams were chosen for the final round and FC Tokai won the tournament championship.

On behalf of the organizing board, Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Vu Hong Nam presented the championship cup to FC Tokai team and an award worth JPY300,000. In addition, the organizing board also presented prizes to the second and third-place winners, best- style team, best player and best goalkeeper.

Football, especially popular among Vietnamese people, is becoming a link to connect overseas Vietnamese people to help them train their health to build the nation and strengthen the Vietnam-Japan friendship./.
