Vietnamese people in Germany welcome Tet 2018

The overseas Vietnamese community in Rostock city and adjacent areas of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern state in northern Germany organized an event to welcome the Lunar New Year of the Dog on January 28th.

Nguyen Duy Long, Chairman of Dien Hong Association, Head of the Organization Board, said that over the past year, the overseas Vietnamese community in Rostock city and adjacent areas continue to maintain sustainable life, work hard and make contributions to social affairs and actively support Vietnamese people and the immigrant community to solve difficulties in life.

Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Germany Doan Xuan Hung expressed his pleasure when participating in the program, which was organized at the time the U23 Vietnam team achieved high result at the AFC U23 Championship 2018.

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year of the Dog, the ambassador sent best wishes to overseas Vietnamese in Rostock and adjacent areas, as well as German friends, for supporting overseas Vietnamese to integrate and rise up in the life.

The representative of the Rostock Municipal Council highly appreciated the integration and contribution of overseas Vietnamese to the common development of the city. The overseas Vietnamese community, especially the Dien Hong Association, not only help each other but also contribute to strengthening solidarity among the immigrant community from other countries.

On this occasion, the organizing board also praised and rewarded overseas Vietnamese children for gaining high results in study./.
