Earlier, on February 14th, the first batch of 16,000 face masks was also presented to the province to support people in the locality to prevent and control the acute respiratory infections caused by a new strain of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).

Before the serious situation of the pandemic, the Vietnamese Embassy has actively cooperated with associations and unions of the Vietnamese community in Poland to inform Vietnamese people living, studying and working in Poland about the situation and development of Covid-19.

On January 19th, the Community Support Board was quickly established. It not only disseminates the situation and measures to prevent and control the epidemic, preparing timely plans to prevent the impact of the epidemic on the life and business activities of the Vietnamese people in Poland, but also collects and buys necessary equipment for prevention and fighting the epidemic to send to the homeland as soon as possible.

During this time, the embassy is always working closely with the Community Support Board, the associations and unions of the overseas Vietnamese in Poland to understand the situation and implement timely responses in the locality, as well as join hands for the people in the epidemic-hit area in Vietnam.

On behalf of the people in Vinh Phuc province, Le Duy Thanh, Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, expressed his deep gratitude to the Vietnamese community in Poland for their timely sharing with the people in the province, and highly appreciated their practical and meaningful deeds.

On this occasion, Ambassador Luong Thanh Nghi, Deputy Chairman of the State Commission for Overseas Vietnamese, highly appreciated the determination and deep affection of Vietnamese people in Poland, always interested in and directed towards the homeland and ready to share difficulties with domestic people in dealing with Covid-19. He hoped that the meaningful sentiments will spread to Vietnamese communities around the world./.
