Vietnamese restaurant introduced on Panama’s television

The opening ceremony of a Vietnamese restaurant named Sen Vietnam was held in the capital of Panama on April 6th.

Located on the centre of Panama City, the capital, on Jose Isaac Fabrega Road, Sen Vietnam is the third restaurant of Vietnam in Panama, after Restaurante Vietnamita and Sabor Viet, excluding two smaller food kiosks in Dorado and Colon.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to Panama Vu Ngoc Minh introduced the unique cultural features of Vietnamese cuisine, with traditional dishes such as noodle soup, spring rolls, “bun cha” and fried fish. He also emphasized that Vietnamese dishes are low in fat, refined, rich in nutrients and beautiful.

He expressed his satisfaction with the good development of the Vietnam-Panama relationship in recent years, and affirmed that he would do his utmost to promote political, economic, foreign trade and cultural cooperation between the two countries.

Panama's SERTV television channel interviewed Ambassador Vu Ngoc Minh and filmed the opening ceremony and dishes, to introduce Sen Vietnam restaurant and Vietnam’s cuisine.

Previously, the channel also screened a documentary film provided by the Vietnamese Embassy, introducing the history, country and people of Vietnam, especially the famous tourist destinations and the music of Vietnam.

Although it has been in operation only for a few days, Sen Vietnam restaurant has attracted a large number of local and foreign people, due to delicious dishes at reasonable prices./.
