This is the first organization of Vietnamese students granted license for operation by Australia.

Nguyen Phuc Binh, a student from Macquarie University and Chairman of the Vietnamese Student General Association in New South Wales, said that the general association will organize sports and art activities such as football tournaments and art contest to gather Vietnamese students.

In addition, the general association will also direct a professional orientation program, such as organizing seminars with large companies so that the students have opportunities to learn about work requirements for each job to help the students prepare better before leaving their universities.

Lang Thi Thu Hoai, a student from Macquarie University, hoped that participating in activities of the general association will help her develop herself, practice collective working skills and expand connection network.

Hoai and students in the general association will create forums so that Vietnamese students in New South Wales can exchange helpful information for study and life there, such as information about housing and jobs.

Consul General of Vietnam in Sydney Trinh Duc Hai hoped that Vietnamese students in New South Wales will unite to create a helpful playground, contributing to strengthening the spirit of solidarity among the overseas Vietnamese community in New South Wales./.
