Unlike previous years, apart from teachers teaching Vietnamese language, the meeting also included teachers teaching different subjects, especially foreign teachers teaching and supporting Vietnamese children in learning German and other cultural subjects.

Speaking at the meeting, Ms. Duong Thi Viet Thang, who is in charge of education and overseas Vietnamese students, acknowledged and appreciated the contributions of teachers who are teaching Vietnamese language in Germany, contributing to the maintenance and dissemination of the mother tongue for generations of Vietnamese children.

While Counselor Dang Chung Thuy thanked and acknowledged the contributions and efforts of the teachers in preserving and developing Vietnamese language in Germany, thereby contributing to developing Vietnam - Germany relations.

He also affirmed that the Vietnamese Embassy will always accompany the teachers by supporting them with documents, school-books as well as seeking effective and suitable access methods for overseas Vietnamese.

At the meeting, officials of the embassy also listened to the thoughts and memories of the teachers during their work in Germany.

The teachers said that many kindergartens in Germany started to open Vietnamese - German bilingual classes, which not only help Vietnamese children but also German and foreign children can speak both Vietnamese and German languages. This is a good model to disseminate Vietnamese language abroad./.
